Former Assistant Claims Kanye West Drugged her During Studio Event.

According to People Magazine in an article by Brenton Blanche, published on October 12, 2024, Lauren Pisciotta, a former assistant to Kanye West, has filed a lawsuit accusing the rapper of drugging and sexually assaulting her during a studio session co-hosted by Sean “Diddy” Combs. Pisciotta, who worked with West from 2021 to 2022, alleges that West served her a drink laced with drugs, which led to the alleged assault. These claims are part of a broader wrongful termination suit she initially filed against West. Pisciotta had been assisting on West’s Yeezy fashion line and his 2021 album, Donda.

Kanye Denies Allegations, Threatens Countersuit

West’s legal team disputes all claims: West’s legal representative has previously denied the allegations made in Pisciotta’s initial complaint from June 2024 and has stated that West, who also goes by Ye, plans to file a lawsuit against Pisciotta in response. The rapper’s camp has remained silent since the amended lawsuit was filed on October 8, 2024.

Events Leading to the Lawsuit

Studio sessions turned into a nightmare for a former assistant.: According to Pisciotta’s amended complaint, she was invited to a Santa Monica studio session hosted by West and Combs before officially working for West. Pisciotta claims she was offered a drink by a studio assistant, allegedly at West’s request. After a few sips, she began to feel disoriented and eventually lost control of her body, unable to recall the events of that night.

Confrontation About the Incident Years Later

West casually brings up the night years after the alleged assault.: The lawsuit alleges that years after the Santa Monica studio session, West mentioned to Pisciotta that they had “hooked up a little” during that night. Shocked and without memory of the event, Pisciotta was further disturbed when West dismissed her confusion, laughing and saying, “Women love to say they don’t remember.”

Further Allegations of Sexual Misconduct

Incidents in hotel rooms add to accusations against West. The amended lawsuit also recounts another disturbing event in July 2021, when West allegedly forced his way into Pisciotta’s hotel room in San Francisco and attempted to assault her sexually. According to Pisciotta, West apologized and left after his advances were rejected, but his behavior left her feeling violated and confused.

Psychological Toll of Working for West

Pisciotta reflects on emotional trauma and shame. Pisciotta’s lawsuit claims that after the alleged incidents, she was left feeling “disgusted” and filled with shame. Her distress worsened as she continued working for West, realizing that the man who allegedly assaulted her had lured her back into his professional circle, only to subject her to further inappropriate conduct.

West Faces Additional Legal Troubles

Other lawsuits accuse West of harassment and labor violations.

This isn’t the only legal issue West is dealing with. In April 2024, a former employee filed a lawsuit claiming severe discrimination and harassment at Yeezy and West’s Donda Academy. Another former staffer filed a complaint this week, citing emotional distress and labor code violations.
