Latin Music – Global salsa icon Marc Anthony and rising Argentine star Nathy Peluso are celebrating a significant achievement this week as their duet “Como En El Idilio” climbs to No. 1 on Billboard Latin Airplay dated April 18.
The track marks a milestone moment for Peluso, who earns her first-ever No. 1 in her debut appearance on the chart. For Anthony, the accomplishment adds yet another chapter to his storied career, giving him a total of 16 chart-topping hits.
After debuting at No. 37 in February, “Como En El Idilio” steadily gained momentum, ultimately reaching the summit in its ninth week. The song experienced a strong surge in radio performance, rising 20% to 9.4 million audience impressions across more than 150 Latin radio stations in the U.S., according to Luminate.
Anthony’s latest No. 1 places him in a tie with Carlos Vives for the third-highest number of Latin Airplay chart-toppers among tropical solo artists. Both trail Romeo Santos, who leads with 23, and Prince Royce, who follows with 20.
The collaboration also carries historical weight in Anthony’s career. It marks his first major charting partnership with a female artist in years, following his 2017 duet “Olvídame y Pega La Vuelta” with Jennifer Lopez. Notably, this is his first No. 1 collaboration with a woman since their 1999 hit “No Me Ames,” which dominated the chart for seven weeks.
For Peluso, the success extends beyond Latin Airplay. “Como En El Idilio” previously reached the top of the Tropical Airplay chart, where it continues to hold strong for a third consecutive week, marking her first No. 1 across any Billboard chart.
The song is also gaining traction across multiple rankings. It climbs from No. 27 to No. 22 on the Hot Latin Songs chart, Peluso’s highest placement to date, and rises to No. 3 on Hot Tropical Songs.
Meanwhile, elsewhere on the Latin charts, Luis Angel El Flaco secures another career milestone. His single “Directo al Corazón” surges to No. 1 on the Regional Mexican Airplay chart, becoming his third chart-topper. The song, released under Sony Music Mexico/Sony Music Latin, earned 8.1 million audience impressions, reflecting a 16% increase during the latest tracking period.
The track replaces “Mi Yo de Antes” by Eden Muñoz, which slips to No. 2. Earlier this year, Gerardo Ortiz became the first solo artist of 2026 to reach No. 1 on the chart with “Échame El Grito.”
With these chart movements, Latin music continues to showcase its dynamic evolution, highlighting both established legends and emerging voices reshaping the genre.
