Bad Bunny to Headline 2026 Super Bowl Halftime Show

Date:

Entertainment – Puerto Rican global superstar Bad Bunny has officially been tapped to headline the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show, marking a historic moment for Latin music on one of the world’s biggest stages.

The National Football League, Apple Music, and Roc Nation made the announcement during halftime of Sunday night’s matchup between the Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys. Super Bowl 60 is set for February 8, 2026, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

In a statement released through the NFL, Bad Bunny reflected on the cultural significance of the opportunity. “What I’m feeling goes beyond myself,” he said. “It’s for those who came before me and ran countless yards so I could come in and score a touchdown. This is for my people, my culture, and our history. Ve y dile a tu abuela, que seremos el HALFTIME SHOW DEL SUPER BOWL.”

The announcement comes just after Bad Bunny closed out his sold-out summer residency at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot, which drew more than half a million fans. Next up, the three-time Grammy winner is slated to host the season premiere of Saturday Night Live this coming weekend.

Born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, the 31-year-old artist has become a transformative force in global music, blending reggaeton, Latin trap, and pop. Earlier this month, he revealed that he deliberately chose not to schedule U.S. concert dates during his current world tour, citing fears that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents might appear at his shows.

With his halftime show performance, Bad Bunny will join a select group of artists who have used the Super Bowl stage not only as entertainment but as a platform to celebrate identity, heritage, and global influence.
